AMV 60 - new HighEnd AV processor with Atmos and DTS: X Anthem

Written by

Anthem have revealed a hint for their upcoming preamp / processor AMV 60. The Successor to AVM 50v 3D is on route when it comes to 3D sound, and will have support for both Dolby Atmos and DTS: X.

In Mississauga west of Toronto in Canada, we find Anthem Audio. They are known for stereo and AV-Products in HighEnd segment, and has divided their products in Statement Collection and Performance Collection. Statement Collection contains the ultimate Anthem has in their collection, while in the Performance Collection we find the upcoming model that Anthem Audio now reveal.

Now they hold the model AMV 50v 3D, which in Norway has a price tag of approximately sixtythree thousand (NOK). This is a 7.1 processor, which has not taken account of the new 3D audio formats that have dominated AV sector over the latest year. However it has got an update for 3Dvideo lately.

The new model AMV 60, however, has taken the plunge into 3D sound and announces support for both Dolby Atmos and the freshest DTS: X. As a consequence, capacity expanded from 7.1 to 11.1, which allows for a 7.1.4 setup in Dolby Atmos.

It is otherwise in Anthem tradition full sets of balanced outputs, and unlike RCA outputs we find here also two subwoofer outputs.

Anthem are proud of their proprietary room correction system ARC, which you can take a look at in the video below:

Production date is not fixed yet, but is slightly ahead. Probably the earliest in Q4 2015.

Norwegian importer of Anthem is Audiocompaniet .
