Meridian Explorer 2 – MQA ready. Oppdatert

Den 4. desember avduket Meridian sitt nye lydformat MQA. De hadde åpenbart jobbet i kulissene med et kompatibelt produkt også.

Den 5. desember ble det kunngjort at Meridian sin lommeDAC Explorer får sin oppfølger – Meridian Explorer 2. Og denne er allerede klargjort for MQA-dekoding.

 

Explorer 2 er i likhet med forgjengeren en asynkron USB-DAC i svært kompakt fomat. Den har en USB-mini type B inngang, og av utganger kan du velge mellom 35mm jack med fixed gain, eller en hodeltelefonutgang med variabel gain. Vi har tidligere nevnt MQA, og i tillegg har den også Meridian sitt egen Apodising Filter som spesielt skal forhindre pre-ringing.

Meridian Explorer 2 kan benyttes mot disse operativsystemene:

Macintosh OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard) or later.
Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8 or later
Linux kernel 2.6.37 or later and ALSA version 1.0.32 or greater.
