Monitor Audio eases the rest of the blur on the new Bronze generation. Featured

Written by

The new Bronze range from Monitor Audio has been surrounded by an extra dose of discretion on the part of the manufacturer. Now we get to see most of it, even though it is still a month left to time of delivery.

A month ago, Monitor Audio leaked a single image with a snippet of one of the sixth-generation Bronze speakers. The series was showcased at the Bristol HiFi Fair a week ago and a couple of days ago they released updated information on the website.

The models

We wrote about the models available in the new series in our previous article, and are happy to repeat it here:

  • Bronze 50 Tripod Speaker
  • Bronze 100 Tripod Speaker
  • Bronze 200 floor speaker
  • Bronze 500 floor speaker
  • Center speaker Bronze C150
  • Surroundhøyttaleren Bronze FX
  • Atmospheric speaker Bronze AMS
  • Subwoofer Bronze W10

Bronze 100

All the models in the new series have grown, and for some, there is a significant increase in size. One of the most interesting models is the new Bronze 100, which has the same size as the Silver 100. At least as interesting is that the Bronze 100 also has an 8-inch to operate midrange and bass. This is a fairly rare feature of affordable tripod speakers, and my experience of owning an eight-inch tripod speaker from this manufacturer makes me have high expectations. One may have the hope that the Bronze 100 will end up slightly below four thousand,NOK, but only time will show.

Bronze AMS

Another exciting grip is the new Bronze AMS (Atmos-enabled), which is specially adapted to sit on top of Bronze 50 or Bronze 200. In itself not a unique grip so far, but Monitor Audio has gone an extra mile when it comes to design integration. For it becomes instantly elegant when the 50/200 design highlighted baffle is repeated and cracked backwards on Bronze AMS.

Uniform Dispersion Waveguide and C-CAM

The tweeter in the new Bronze series has got Monitor Audio's new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide, which is combined with the C-Cam Gold Dome Tweeter. The manufacturer claims that it is specially designed for even dispersion, and also facilitates a lower crossover frequency.

For lower frequencies, the Bronze series uses C-CAM drivers.

New design

The design of the new Bronze series is new and differs significantly from the old series. The series, on the other hand, has clear commonalities with the Silver series. The color range is White, Walnut, Urban Gray and Black, and has a slim baffle in contrasting color.

Availability

Monitor Audio has suggested that the new series will be available in a month's time. So far, the old series is still out on the manufacturer's website, but they have created an article advertising the new series.
