RECORD NEWS - Two new SACDs from PentaTone Classics in the horizon.

Penta Tone Classics has two new upcoming multi-channel SACDs. We're talking about Penta Tone Limited - Creating Timeless Classics and Tchaikovsky - Manfred Symphony.

Just before the new year started, we reported about PentaTone Classics`s latest release , featuring works by Bizet, Faure and Gounod. Now at the start of the year, there are two new releases approaching the launch.

In March, it is Tchaikovsky's Manfred Symphony recorded with Russion National Orchestra, conducted by Mikhail Pletnev. Pletnev has conducted a handfull of records at PentaTone Classics earlier, and a large part of these has been music of the same Peter Ilyish Tchaikovsky.

But before this comes another release, called Penta Tone Limited - Creating Timeless Classics. Here Penta Tone collected goodies from their very extensive catalog, which contains over 250 titles on SACD. There are compositions by Robert Schumann, Tchaikovsky, JS Bach, Corelli, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Korngold, Rachmaninov, and others. Release date is set to February 2014.
