Onkyo embarks new firmware update for the latest generation of AV-receivers. The new update addresses improved use of Spotify Connect.
Onkyo has had several firmware updates for their AV-receivers the last six months. The most significant came in late September, when Dolby Atmos was made available for the latest generation of AV receivers , from- and including model TX-NR636 and up. Not quite as spectacular, but nonetheless perhaps even more important for the majority of users was the update that was released in November . Then the new APP for Android and iOS was available, with faster maneuvering as most important news. Even more important was that Spotify Connect was implemented in these receivers. In retrospect, Onkyo also posted an update to the previous generation AV receivers regarding Spotify Connect. And today there is a new update for the latest generation, which also deals with the Spotify Connect. This time it is the improvement of the functionality of Spotify's theme update.
