Dali Zensor go active

Written by

Dali's entry level series is now launched with active editions. It is a the standmount speaker Zensor 1 AX and the floor speaker Zenzor 5 AX.

Dali`s Zensor series is hard hit by family expansion currently. Earlier this summer we reported on a compact version of the youngest - Zensor Pico. A model priced at NOK 1,996, - perhaps primarily intended role as surround speakers in a mulitikanalsoppsett, or in other settings where a compact exterior is crucial.

This time the family expasion applies active models, and which also has the option of streaming. This is a trend that is growing fast. One of the manufacturers who were early out with this in the serious end is Audiovector, which launched its Discreet series for almost two years ago.

Dali has this time picked out their most affordable speaker series for debut with active streaming Speakers, if we then disregard Kubik Free. But it will surprise if not this concept is followed up also with models in one or more of Dali's more prestigious series.

In common for both Zensor 1 AX and Zensor 5 AX is that they have 3 different inputs, where wireless Bluetooth 3.0 aptX is one of them. There is also an optical and an analog mini-jack input. Dedicated output for subwoofer helps provide system flexibility.

It is one of the two speakers that is host for both a 2x50 watt amplifier, and all inputs and outputs. Speaker Terminals which exits on the active speaker provide its partner with signal.

Zensor AX comes with simple remote control as standard, and can also be delivtained from a costly model in aluminum.

Both models are available in black ash, walnut and white gloss.

Price for a set of Zensor 1 AX is 4.998, -
Price for a set of Zensor 5 AX is 7998, -
