Rega announce a new MC-pickup in a moderate price range. Ania Pro rises to the level above standard Ania in Rega's MC hierarchy.
Almost three years ago we announced that Rega released several exciting vinyl news , and one of them was the brand new MC pickup Ania, in addition to the RIAA Fono MC, and new color variants for P2 and P3.
Ania has an attractive design with its transparent construction, and has become an interesting alternative for the mid-range MC-PU, both for Rega's own players and for other turntables.
Rega Ania Pro
Now, Rega is launching an improved edition of Ania, under the name Ania Pro. This differs from regular Ania in using Rega's Vital profile nude diamond stylus, a needle grinding previously reserved for more expensive PUs, such as Apheta 2. According to Rega, the needle profile is designed to get as much information as possible from the grooves.
At Ania Pro, Rega has chosen a red, semi-transparent cover to protect the construction. This clearly separates the new model visually from the standard Ania.
Ania Pro has a weight of 6 grams and has a recommended tracking pressure of between 1.75 and 2.0 grams. The PU gives a signal of 350μV.
Rega highlights Ania Pro as a suitable partner for P3, P6 and P8, and will get a price slightly above the standard Ania.
Rega is imported to Norway by Mono AS
