We have seen the outlines of Oppo HA-2 and a new less expensive headphone model navnt PM-3 already ahead of the Horten HiFI Fair last autumn. But we didn`t succeeded in our to pry some details out of Oppo's representative at the Horten Fair, so we have been obliged to hold back an article until there is official data. Now HA-2 is released, and it is revealed that this seems to be a rather exclusively designed pocket-DAC with headphone amplifier, in a surprisingly moderate price range.
An exclusive design combined with very lusty specifications, not to mention a moderate price and Oppo`s general reputation for high quality, gives every reason to expect that Oppo HA-2 is a highly sought after product. We start with the DA-converter, which is able to translate PCM with resolution until 32bit / 384kHz or DSD256. It is an ESS SABRE32. Moreover, it is able to connect to all your iOS devices, and mobile devices with USB OTG, in addition to PC and MAC.

Oppo HA-2 has a quick charger, which provides a full charge in 30 minutes. In addition, it can be used as charger for mobile devices.
Headphone amplifier operating in Class A / B, and has a smart solution for shielding volume control for pocket use. HA-2 also has an analog input, which enables the use of external sources. There are also two different gain settings for optimal adaption to different headphones.
