NAIM Radio

Written by

Owners of Linn's DS products have for a long time had access to 3 different webradio stations with streaming music non-stop from Linn Records. It seems that arch rival Naim find this to be a good idea.

Linn have the channels Linn Radio (Variety), Linn Classical and Linn Jazz, and streams with very respectable bandwidth of 320kbps. This has been an appealing feature for DS owners, even if though one could apprediate even higher resolution.

Naim Radio is currently only an experimental station that streams in 320kbps MP3 from Naim Label, but promises more as soon as the trial period is over. Anyway an interesting development, but there is not an unlimited number of hifi manufacturers who also own a record label. Did we hear various collaboration between hardware manufacturers and label cross-ownership, with streaming Hires?
