Some of us are old enough to remember that something special happened in 1973. NAD introduced the amplifier NAD 3020, a rather weak power amplifier with a minimalist look but that was championed by hifi press. The architect Mies van der Rohe's concept of "Less is More" were retrieved, and has in a way been hanging by NAD ever since.

Now NAD report the launching of a re-occurrence of this legend. Anyway the name reflects that we have a digital reincarnation of this ancient legend. NAD D 3020 also introduces yet another parameter in the "less is more" vconcept, in that the size is very modest indeed - 186 x 58 x 219mm. Could be placed almost anywhere, in other words. This is made possible by the fact that it is using class-D amplifiers, and switch mode power supply.

The design of D 3020 is also quite Uniqe . The associations are easily to a compact projector, and this amplifier is designed to get placed both portrait and landscape.

In addition to a relatively modest set of analog inputs, there are two digital inputs and a USB input. By outputs there is a set of speaker connections as well as a subwoofer output. Headphone jack located in the front is also at duty.

NAD D 3020 is also equipped with NAD its bluetooth connection, which enables streaming of moblie devices.

NAD D 3020 is part of a series of compact digital devices from NAD. Below is pictured on the family photo alongside  D7050 and D1050.
