RECORD NEWS: Solfrid Molland - Musikken er mitt fedreland - KKV
Written by Karl Erik SyltheAfter a rush of releases before Christmas, it has been a bit quiet from KKV the last month. But now the first record in the new year appears - Musikken er mitt fedreland.
KKV has a tradition of cultural handshake to vulnerable population groups. This time it is the Romani people they meet. The CD Musikken er mitt fedreland is published in collaboration with the Church City Mission, and Solfrid Molland has invited many musicians with Romani background, which largely otherwise are found on the streets playing, and in Hjerterom-choir there are people who would otherwise spend part of the day on the sidewalk with a cup. According to KKV street musician Valentin Vasile has philharmonic level.
The musicians involved on the disc are:
- Solfrid Molland (vocals / piano / accordion)
- Gheorghe Vasile-Buzoiano (vocals / accordion)
- Valentine Vasile (violin)
- Ion Cantaragiu Rasturnel (saxophone)
- Gjermund Silseth / Lars Tormod Jenset (bass)
- Hjerterom choir.
Release date is set to 7 February.
