Sonos offer TIDAL

Written by

TIDAL continue to conquer the HiFi universe. This time it is the streaming giant Sonos that makes TIDAL available as an integrated solution.

We reported Linn DS and TIDAL a few days ago. Now the same implementation happens with Sonos and TIDAL. This alternative brand of WiMP HiFi started offering lossless streaming in 16bit / 44.1kHz in England and the US, seem now to have a big round of implementation in Hardweare from manufacturers of streaming products. Sonos is one of the biggest in this market, and even if they have large portions of their products in the lower part of the main stream market, it certainly gives opportunities for implementations in setups where lossless streaming is interresting.

Initially it appears that it is only the market in England and the United States who access TIDAL integrated in Sonos` products. But there is every reason to assume that it is a highly transient situation, simply because this is a liiotation that neither Sonos or TIDAL may find suitable.
