EMC 1 MK III - a legend from Electrocompaniet in upgraded version.

Written by

Electrocompaniet launch their freshest bid within CD and SACD playback. It is in the form of an upgrade of the legend EMC 1-UP.

Electrocompaniet`s CD player EMC 1 has roots dating from 1998, and was at that time a highly prized CD player. Also when an upgraded version arrived - ECM 1-UP had upsampling.

Now around 17 years after launch, an ultimate edition arrive. EMC 1 MK III can play both CD and SACD. Electrocompaniet still stick to a topploader mechanism with puck. The manufacturer offers both RCA and XLR outputs, and digital outputs in terms of both coax and optical. This is otherwise a pure CD / SACD player of the old school, where Electrocompaniet has not succumbed to the temptation to offer digital inputs.

Price in Norway is set to NOK 38 990, -.
