EC Living – Electrocompaniet in the nude.
Written by Karl Erik SyltheElectrocompaniet is focusing on a new series of compact wireless products. The series is called EC Living.

There is no doubt that compact wireless components are hot. A round with a couple of the biggest hi-fi chain in Norway in December confirms that there are huge amounts Lifestyle Products for every heavier hi-fi component passing the cash register.
Electrocompaniet is a part of the Norwegian Hi-fi establishment, and most people associate the company with heavier high-end. That does not mean that they too can`t rise to the occasion and work their way into the market where Sonos has become a dominant regent. And who knows - maybe Electrocompaniet with its reputation manages to find a special position in this sector?
Electrocompaniet has allied with Altibox in this effort. The result is initially a series of 4 different models, with a wide range of materials and color combinations.
Model # 1 is a box that contains streams and wireless speaker. If you combine this with the Model # 2 - a box containing only wireless speaker - you get a stereo set.
Model # 2 may also form pairs in a stereo setup with Model # 3 . What distinguishes Model # 3 from Model # 1 is that it also has control section, with an integrated touch screen on top.
The latest model - Model # 4 is an audio / video device without speakers. For a complete setup in stereo, this combined with two pieces. Model # 2 , and a TV.
Electrocompaniet state on its website that sales start in August 2014.
