The French composer Jean-Marie Leclair lived from 1697 to 1762 and was also a leading violinist. Leclair contributed their compositions to develop French violin playing.

Greg Ewer and Adam LaMotte attended the same grade at school in Houston more than 30 years ago. Now  they publish this joint project with sonatas for two violins on Sono Luminus. This is a release with two sets of six sonatas each, respectively opus 3 and opus 12. Total playing time is approximately two hours.

The release is a Pure Audio Blu-ray, and also Sono Luminus emphasize that these are discs that are designed for navigation wthout screen.Available tracks are 2.0 LPCM in 24bit / 192kHz, 5.0 DTS HD MA for 24 bit 192kHz, and 7.0 DTS HD MA for 24 bit 96kHz.

It is interesting to note that Sonos Luminus do not use the LFE channel. A good number of publishers of music in multichannel high-res avoids the LFE channel, because it is a fact that this content is in many cases rendered at wrong level of the end user.

But Sono Luminus comment that this is their first multichannel recording without the subwooferchannel. Their reason for omitting it this time was that the music didn`t have any low frequence information. (added at 26.03.2014)

In addition to Blu-ray disc is a double CD in this package. And on top of this it is via MShuttle available these formats for free download (for those who bought the disc): 24/192kHz FLAC 320kbps mp3, FLAC 24/96kHz, 16/44.1kHz Wav.
