Pioneer promise Atmos upgrade in September.

Today, Pioneer announced that they will deliver firmware upgrade to their LX receivers in late September.

Pioneer is one of several Japanese receiver manufacturers that have promised to upgrade their receivers in the upper range. It is the LX series, the SC-LX58 , SC-LX78 and SC-LX88 . Today, Pioneer announced that Atmos upgrade promised in September. Thus, the close race with the buyer Onkyo, which also has promised Atmos upgrade on September 29 .

The current receivers from Pioneer, all 9.1 processor, and can thus deliver Atmos in a 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 setup. For the SC-LX58 is concerned, the following schemes depend on an external two-channel power amplifier as well, otherwise possible setup is limited to 5.1.2.
