A-S1100 - New integrated amplifier with retro design from Yamaha

Written by

Yamaha launches the amplifier A-S1100. It replaces the predecessor A-S1000, although it resembles much more on a big brother.

Yamaha have had very good response to his new series of stereo products that were launched a few years ago. Great design in a retro inspired cabinet has been the trademark, in great contrast to the 80/90-ootdated look that characterized the previous models.

The integrated amplifier A-S1100 replaces A-S1000, and based on the specifications the difference is not very large. However, the appearance is, which seems to be more or less identical to big brother A-S2100. This means a couple of VU-meters that adorn the front and consolidates the retro-inspiration even more.

A-S1100 is still a pure stereo amplifier, without digital trends as we find in more amplifiers from other manufacturers. Three sets of ordinary RCA inputs as well as a tape in- and output. In addition, we find the input for both MM and MC. There is both a set of pre-out, and a direct entrance to the power amplifier.
