Rogue RP-1 - new preamplifier from Rogue Audio

Written by

Rogue Audio launched the HighEnd preamp RP-5 earlier this year. Now they launched the kid brother Rogue RP-1.

In January we wrote about Rogue Audio`s new preamplifier RP-5. This is a tube based preamp in modern incarnation.

The new model is a far less expensive preamplifier - under half the price compared to RP-5. But also RP-1 has phono input for both MM and MC, where gain is 45dB and 60dB respectively. Like the big brother, RP-5 also has HT bypass, going straight into our exclusive list of (pre)amplifiers with HT bypass.

Rogue RP-1 has four sets of RCA connectors, and two sets of pre-out in addition to a fixed output. Separate headphone output is also present.
